I attended the Tall Ships Festival, travelling with TRS from Westminster on 3 days.

My great grandparents were born in Charlton and Shoreditch and my grandfather and his 2 brothers went to Greenwich Royal Hospital School in the 1890s, later all joining the RN. Grandfather was at Greenwich for the latter part of his RN service between the wars so Greenwich and the Thames has played an important
part in my family history.

The reason I am emailing is to thank all the crews for the great info imparted during my trips. It really made the wonderful experience of the tall ships extra special. Loved the humour too!! It is nice to know that the history of the river is being kept alive, despite the rise of all those luxury apartments. All taken at a nice steady pace without causing a wash like some of your competitors!

I was so grateful to you for the lovely way you looked after me on the Mercuria on Sunday.  You really are something special in this age when people do not care so much about people in wheelchairs.

Could you please send me your tariffs for hiring one of your boats. Next year will be our Golden Wedding Anniversary and I would like to discuss this with my family. It may be that it would be far too expensive for us. Perhaps for a lunch/tea party?

Thank you so very much for the most amazing day on Sunday.

You looked after us all so well from the beginning to the end. We all felt so privileged to be on the river for such an important occasion. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and you kept us so well informed all the time. We were a large party but we really enjoyed meeting the others on the boat too. Everyone was in such good spirits (apart from one!).

The food was delicious and we all had plenty of room to move about etc. Huge thanks to you all and sorry we did not get to meet you Rosie but thank you for all your hard work.

Dear Rosie,

You were probably, after HM Queen, the most famous person on the Thames last Sunday. Rosie was definitely mentioned several times – all good. YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB in organizing everything for everyone who was fortunate enough to be on the Mecedes for last Sunday’s pageant.

Thank you for all your hard work and the organizing you had to do. Mrs Phillips’ party and I had a simply super day – it will stay in my memory for ever. I asked a very nice gentleman (wearing pink shirt and sweater) if he was the boat owner, he said yes and I then asked him if he knew Rosie!!!!! Silly question…….of course he did!!!!!! He explained that you and your Mum were overseeing other boats so I’m very glad that you got the chance to be a part of the truly splendid occasion.

The nightmare is over now and hopefully you will get the chance to relax and look back on what for the guests on Westminster Party Boats was a truly unforgettable day.

Dear Sue,

Just to say a really big THANK YOU to all your team involved in making our party on 25th June on the Mercedes such a success. We had just the best time!
